I think big pharmaceutical companies with profit as priority will never be able to eradicate Covid and its variants. World leaders need to accept responsibility that a solution cannot be based on profit. A world approach to the disease needs to found. Better to lock down the world than each country taking "calculated" measures... 

I am shocked how kancheong Israel is when they only have 1 imported case of Omicron with some others yet to be confirmed. They have immediately locked down international travel. They have made QUICK and Decisive assumption that the Omicron variant is extremely transmissible and thus many other countries apart from South African... 

The Spanish flu started in 2018 and ended by the summer of 2019, as those who have been infected by it had died or developed immunity. The duration of the pandemic was less than two years.
