I read the news recently about Hindu devotees, who have demanded that the government grant them an additional public holiday for Thaipusam and allow them to play musical instruments during the Thaipusam procession. I fully support their actions as I think all religions should have the right to freely practise their own religious... 

A few of my poly seniors went to NUS together. One (A) did a degree in accountancy and got 3 jobs offers within a month of finishing her last exam in May, while another (B) who did a degree in economics has yet to secure any offers even after more than 6 months. Naturally, B felt slightly worthless and became a little upset...
