Things are not looking bright for Singapore Press Holdings, according to its latest Annual Report released today (15 Oct). For the financial year ended 31 Aug, its advertising revenue fell by 9.2% while its circulation income fell by 3%. The overall effect on its profitability was mitigated by the increase of it's property income... 

Technology has made it easier for people to indulge in “transgressions and misdeeds” such as pornography and online gambling, said the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS) in its Friday sermon (14 Oct). MUIS said parents should educate their children on the perils of online gambling and should registered themselves... 

According to a Press release by the LTA, the Park and Ride scheme will cease in approximately 6 weeks time on 1 Dec. The scheme was first introduced some 40 years back in 1975 to encourage car owners to switch to bus services to enter the CBD so as to reduce congestion. Later in 1993, this was expanded to include MRT stations....
