Fake news spread by the PAP

Under Singapore’s new fake news law, providing incomplete information is also fake news.

Below is all the fake news being spread by the Singapore PAP government:

CPF RETIREMENT FUNDS

(1) Singaporeans earn interest on their CPF pension funds. However, Singaporeans still do not know the annual average returns on their pension funds.

(2) Singaporeans still do not know the median and average CPF payouts that they receive, on an annual basis.

(3) Singaporeans still do not know how their CPF payouts are calculated, and the exact calculations, on an annual basis.

MEDISAVE HEALTHCARE FUNDS

(4) Part of the CPF goes into Medisave, to be used for healthcare. However, Singaporeans still do not know the annual total contributions Medisave collects from them every year.

(5) Following (4), Singaporeans still do not know how much (or the proportion) of the Medisave they pay every year is actually used for medical expenses. Singaporeans also do not know what the proportion of the total Medisave balance that they have paid in total, is actually used for medical expenses.

HDB PUBLIC HOUSING COSTS

(6) Singapore’s public housing costs are priced based on market value, and include land costs. However, Singaporeans still do not know the exact breakdown of how public HDB flats are priced.

(7) The government is able to calculate how much they want to pay to Singaporeans who sell the leases of their HDB flats back to the government, under the Lease Buyback Scheme, based on the market value of the flat, which means the government should know at which point the value of the flat will start to decline. However, the government still refuses to let Singaporeans know at approximately which point during the 99-year period of their flat lease, will the values of their flats start dropping.

(8) The government claims that Singaporeans “own” their flats but in the Agreement for Lease that Singaporeans sign when they “buy” their flats, Singaporeans are still clearly referred to as lessees. However, there is still no complete clarification by the government on this.

GIC AND TEMASEK HOLDINGS INVESTMENT FUNDS

(9) Singaporeans’ CPF and Medisave funds, and the land they pay for their HDB flats, are taken by the government to invest in the GIC, and Temasek Holdings has access to these funds too. However, Singaporeans still do not know exactly, the breakdown of the CPF funds that are channelled into these two entities annually, on an annual basis.

(10) Singaporeans’ CPF is invested in the GIC. However, Singaporeans still do not know how much exactly the GIC manages, on an annual basis.

(11) Following (10), Singaporeans still do not know completely which entities GIC and Temasek Holdings invest Singaporeans’ monies in, and how much each of these investments are earning annually.

(12) Singaporeans still do not know the annual returns earned by these two entities since their inception.

(13) Singaporeans still do not know how much the top management in these two entities earn annually, of which the prime minister is the chairperson of the GIC and his wife is the CEO of Temasek Holdings.

(14) Singaporeans also do not know how much these two entities take from our monies to use for their administrative fees, and to pay for their own salaries annually.

UNIVERSITY EDUCATION FEES

(15) Singaporeans pay for one of the most expensive university fees in the world, as citizens. However, Singaporeans still do not know how much scholarships are given out to both local and international students every year.

(16) Following (15), Singaporeans still do not know the proportion of the scholarships that are given to local and international students every year.

(17) Singaporeans still also do not know the proportion of local students who receive scholarships, and the proportion of international students who receive scholarships every year.

WAGES AND POVERTY

(18) The government has statistics to define what the poverty line in Singapore is. But the Singapore government has still refused to define a poverty line.

(19) Singaporeans still do not know exactly how much the prime minister and each and every of the ministers, ministers of states and parliamentary secretaries, as well as the heads of the government agencies, earn every year, inclusive of all their bonuses.

ONLINE PROPAGANDA

(20) The government announced in 2007 that they have a team of people who launch counter-insurgencies against their online critics, or who are commonly know as the Internet Brigade (IBs). However, it is not known how much money the government is throwing every year to feed these people to attack Singaporeans online.

This is not an exhaustive list, and the list goes on and on, and on.

Because there are so many things the Singapore government is not telling Singaporeans, and so much incomplete information the government is not sharing.

Under the new fake news law, you are required to publish clarifications by the government on your website if they deem you have provided incomplete information, thereby spreading fake news.

But because the government says that the laws they create cannot be applied on them, they are therefore exempted and immuned from the fake news law. They are not required to publish clarifications on the government websites to all these incomplete information stated above.

If so, the Singapore government is spreading fake news, by their own definition, but they cannot be punished by the fake news law, and have protected themselves from being punished, by making themselves above the law.

The government also said, if you want them to be accountable, they can do so in parliament.

But the Worker’s Party and Singapore Democratic Party, etc, have tried asking them for answers on the CPF, HDB and Medisave, etc, questions till the cows come home, but the PAP has refused to answer and never came clean.

In effect, the PAP has been spreading fake news (by their own definition), and instead of using parliament to clarify, they have instead hid behind parliament, and made a mockery out of parliament.

Parliament has become a laundering mat for the PAP.

And the PAP is clearly behaving in double standard ways using two laws (saying there are double standards under “one” law is fake news, according to them, so you have to say, “two” laws).

So, the PAP has made it legal for them to provide incomplete information and spread fake news (by their own definition), but they have made it a crime for you to spread fake news.

The real criminals have been allowed to go scot-free while Singaporeans who may be innocent will be turned into criminals.

This is the state of the so-called “rule of law” in Singapore. And so, the PAP has been spreading fake news, but what can you do?

According to what the PAP said, you can change the government during the election, if the government does not tell you the truth.

So there, you now have permission to change the government. Go forth, and vote for the party that will protect you.

Vote for the opposition. Vote for a government that will tell you the truth and be honest with you. You need to be treated with more respect.

Or you can keep listening to PAP.FM: Listen to the Fake News.

@Roy; if you want to list out all the lies by PAP I don’t think TRE is enough for you. Even a full page in the Shit Times is not enough.

To stop all these lies, just vote PAP out in this GE.

Like Malaysians, they know so much of 1MDB now. Most importantly, whose hands are inside the cookie jars.

I am sure Singaporeans are smarter than that!!

    One sincere advice for Roy.
Please don’t list so many points. Just a few major ones will do.
This way, you have more time to think about each point and not stray into dangerous territory where they bankrupt you.

Readers also cannot digest so many points. Give us readers more time to focus on major points.

    Thank you for your writings.

$G voters know NOTHING about ANYTHING behind government closed doors.

Even if we ask and are given an answer, remember that any kind of information can be given but no way to substantiate it.

Even then, the ‘facts’ can change overnight and at will. If Indian can become Malay the ‘real’ and ‘fake’ are also subject to interpretation and not by ‘facts’ alone.

The small man thinks that small acts of goodness are of no benefit, so he does not act on them. Just so he thinks that small deeds of evil do no harm, so he does not refrain from them. Therefore, his wickedness grows until it cannot be concealed, and his guilt becomes so great that it cannot be pardoned.

The number votes in TRE for their articles has been so dismally low for a long time. It tells us that, either people are getting tired of reading only negative opinions about the govt. Or, they think it not having a negative voting impact at as the peeing and pooing gagament still becomes their boss after every GE and BE.

    What do you think?

On hindsight, Roy Ngerng has made the right choice by migrating to TW.

He may not yet gotten citizenship there but nevertheless living there now is migration.

    I am coming too.

I rather die elsewhere than live in sg whose leadership is totally against my Principles.
