PAP will put down anyone who sees flaws in its policies, has the courage to speak up, has the ability to influence others

On Tuesday (22 Sept), a few friends and I gathered outside the Clementi Police Station to wait for PJ Thum, founder of New Naratif (NN). He had been summoned there because of the complaints lodged by the Assistant Returning Officer of the Elections Department (ELD). We do not know when the complaints were lodged. The General Election was held on 10 July 2020.

According to the press statement issued by the ELD on 18 September 2020 – more than two months after the General Election – Facebook was ordered to take down five “paid advertisements” during the election period. Those advertisements had cost NN the handsome sum of $341. PJ Thum said that those advertisements were just boosted posts including one video with the sexy voice repeating the word “Discretion”.

But it seems the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) is not satisfied with the removal of the five posts by Facebook. Two months after winning a landslide victory, securing 83 of a 93-seat parliament, it is now going after PJ Thum.

Why is the PAP government behaving in such an unreasonable and vindictive manner, using taxpayers’ money to investigate a petty matter. Even if all the “ advertisements” are found by a court of law to amount to unlawful election activities (which prospect is unlikely), does it serve any useful purpose for Singaporeans? The PAP cannot use taxpayers’ money to satisfy their own ego.

Most of us have not even seen or heard of the “advertisements”. I confess that besides the “Discretion” video – which I thought was a clever satire and which appeared before the election period – I have not seen the other four so called advertisements even though I am a subscriber of NN.

The landslide victory of the PAP has already shown that the alleged advertisements of NN did not have any effect on the outcome of the election or even if they had, the effect is miniscule. Why can’t the PMO let matters rest?

I can only arrive at one conclusion. It is this.

It is the unfortunate and sad trait of the PAP. It is steeped in ensuring its own interest and survival, and have no regard for the interest of Singaporeans who want to enjoy some fundamental human rights such as the freedom of expression. It wants to hold on to power at all costs.

As a consequence, it is well known as a bully. The PAP will ensure that people who are capable of seeing the flaws in their policies and who have the courage to speak up and the ability to influence others are put down. This is so sad for Singapore. Why is our government destroying talented Singaporeans?

Seizure of mobile phone and laptop

PJ Thum said that the police seized his mobile phone and laptop after four hours of interrogation. Why do they need to do that? Surely the fact that the “advertisements” were put up by New Naratif and Facebook had removed them on the orders of the Election Department are not denied. Surely the complainant must have taken the precaution of screen-capping and duplicating the video for record purposes.

PJ Thum is not the only person whose electronic devices and handphones have been seized by the police on the complaints lodged by the Election Department. So many of us – Roy Ngerng, Kumaran Pillai, Ravi Philemon, etc. – have had our equipment seized and returned months later in a damaged state and without receiving any compensation.

There is no need to hold on to these electronic devices unless the police want to teach the owners a lesson and show them that they can do anything they want, including damaging these devices. If they wish to proceed with charging the owners in court and need to preserve the exhibits their own practice has shown that it is not necessary.

In the recent appeal of Parti Liyani v PP, we have seen that alleged stolen goods of the family of Liew Mun Leong continued to be used by the family. They were only seized just before the trial.

The Singapore Police Force needs to redeem its image and win the hearts and minds of Singaporeans. Their actions are closely watched. How soon they finish their investigations and return the mobile phone and laptop of PJ Thum in good order will affect our opinion of them.

  • Harder Truths:

The minions of the despot are hard at work after the GE, making sure their lords and masters are well protected.

Very soon they will make sure the opposition ceases to be a threat. Not much of a problem, with 61% ballsless citizens licking their feet.

Hopefully the 61% will lose their jobs to FT during this recession period.

Activists should keep their data and every digital footprint in the cloud and secure it with an ultra strong password. So when the lap top is taken away, nothing would be there.

As I mentioned before, the PAP will never change its ways no matter what So the only option is for citizens to make sure that the whole party is thrown out, lock stock and barrel. This will be the first step and then the lengthy and difficult job of de-coupling the State from the party can begin in earnest.

All that Singaporeans are not facing stems from the policies of the PAP and it trait*r founding father. Reduced population and birth rate not replacing itself stems from PAP intervention of individual choices. Remember “Stop at two” Öne is enough”etc. We are reaping the effects now.

The same applies to a wide range of industries where there is a imbalance between skills and personnel.

The work of campaigning should be on-going commencing now till the next election. It must not stop if you love Singapore and want it to succeed.

LHL is petty and vindictive just like his father. The only he is not is arrogant because cannot be arrogant when all you have are failures. Singaporeans are worse off since LHL became PM. The last elections proved it.

We do not have independent civil service like US, where the courts and judges will rule against the government or President.

These people will act in their interest and not impartiality or justice, as long as they get promotion and advanced their own personal agenda.

This is what Chinese system or autocracy is all about.

  • kDrama corruption:

why does a small island nation need gic temasick?

well, according to esteemed kDrama plots, these entities are conduits for corruption to the most refined level.

want to pay off that weird decision in ones favour? then a S$m without any accountability role in any of them is the payoff.

that is why in all kDrama corruptions, the culprit is always caught. that is because these culprits do not have the gic temasick model to work through their corrupt schemes.

if anyone dares to ask how come like that, POFMA law kicks in. if anyone dares to ask how come wage at S$100m pa also can, out comes no lah not S$100m, meaning, it is S$101m or S$99m.

kDrama corruption at its worst since unlikely to be caught unless there is a regime change and a non pap member takes a look at the books to see truth for truth.

whether policy is flawed or not (that aside), the drama has to be performed once the command is given; and must be dramatically & extravagantly visible so that the rest of daft sinkies will take note (don’t say don’t know hor) and think twice (especially taking your phone and laptops which are so essentially important in this era of so-called s-mart nation) ????

the whole process is also to make you feel so ‘impotently’ useless & small (as one may sincerely feel that one has not done something so ‘criminally wrong’ to warrant such treatment) ????

you see how Chinese communist, adopting sin’s style of governing by law, especially over HK affairs, administers justice you can also see the exact image in Sin.

You people are all deaf of hearing. I shall not repeat again that there is only one way, one life and one truth.

No one has yet found the keys to freedom. Till that happens, the vast majority are like the Chinese, submissive to the leejime(laws).
The minute and vocal protestors, like the author, are powerless to change things.

It is and will be about the supreme economy so don’t be a hypocrite and lash out at the PAP and their unjust rule.

  • Replace All Senior Management:

When a new party win the election and becomes the government, it should replace all senior management of the Singapore Police, Election Department CPIB etc beccause these people took part in the politics.

These senior management should be neutral and just do their job. Not siding with any party.

    September 27, 2020…

Singapore — Residents are reminded to take in the Singapore flag they have displayed outside their homes for the past several months by Wednesday (Sept 30) or risk incurring a S$1,000 fine.

Earlier this year, President Halimah Yacob allowed the Singapore Arms and Flag and National Anthem (SAFNA) Rules to be amended to permit the display of the National Flag from April 25 to June 30.

In late April, the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY) extended the period in which the flag could be displayed and allowed all organisations and households to display it until the end of September.

The ministry said that the SAFNA Rules were amended because it received a number of requests from members of the public who were keen to display the National Flag “as a demonstration of unity and solidarity with others in society, even as we may be physically apart” during the Covid-19 crisis….

The then Minister for Culture, Community and Youth Grace Fu said at that time: “It is heartening to know that Singaporeans want to rally around the National Flag – an emblem of our shared values, identity and future. It is also a call for us to work together and stand resilient in the face of a crisis like this. This exemplifies the Singapore Together spirit.”

Madam Halimah added that she was also “heartened by the desire of Singaporeans to show our solidarity”.

Singapore residents are advised to take in any flags they have displayed outside their homes by Sept 30.

The SAFNA Rules under the Singapore statutes state that the National Flag can be displayed outside a building until Sept 30 each year. Any person who knowingly contravenes the rule shall be guilty of an offence and liable to pay a S$1,000 fine upon conviction.” Unquote.

Response : Beware all those evil women wing people is going to fine you $1000 fine upon conviction if you still display the Singapore flag after Sept 30 .They need your fine money to feed their e***b*** backside with high salary plus bonuses. The entire bunch of women wing are very evil using law to rob your fine money !
