Author: Iran has responded to the United States' "threat-cum-appeal" over its attack plans. Iran revealed its condition to refrain from retaliating against the embassy strike in Syria. Tehran informed Washington that it "would not strike if the U.S. secures a Gaza ceasefire."
Last week, the U.S. government wrote a letter to Iran after the killing of IRGC members in Syria. In the letter, the U.S. asked Iran not to use the attack as a pretext to target its facilities in the region.

Are the Iranians that stupid? The genocide has been going on for 6 months, conducted by the Americans and the Israelis. Now the whole of Gaza has been flattened, uninhabitable. More than 32k Palestinians had been massacred. The rest are living in tents, without food, water, medicine, electricity, dying a slow death.
The Americans and the Israelis would soon stop the bombing. There is no need for it anymore. The Palestinians are just dying like flies.
Bet you, the Americans would announce that they have persuaded or coerced the Israelis to cease fire and the Israelis have agreed. What a great job, the Americans are so kind. And all the fools would be so grateful and thankful for the Americans, did not want to know that the Americans were 100% involved in the genocide and in the supply of bombs and weapons for the killings.

Assad’s country is being used as a staging ground by Iran, through its proxy, to launch attacks on Israel. Damascus could suffer a similar fate as Gaza if war breaks out in the north. Israel is ordering more fighter jets and ammos to prepare for an expanded war. There will be no holdng back. Israel is certain to strike back if Teheran launch a missile attack. It is doubtful Iran wants a direct confrontation with Israel. Instead of letting the destruction of war come to its soil, Iran would rather let its proxy nations take the brunt of an Israeli offensive. The Arab countries will just stand back and watch from a distance like they did with Gaza. Assad should learn from Gaza’s fate and send the Iranians home before situation becomes dire.

You are not looking deep enough. Regardless of the outcome of the war, no matter which party wins or loses, the world cannot afford a full-blown war between Israel and Iran.
With a full-blown war, the Middle Eastern countries can no longer watch from the side and will be dragged into it, and so will Russia, Turkey and maybe even China.
Economies of the world would tank while prices of oil would shoot to the moon. A full-blown war involving nations that control more than 50% of the oil supply in the world is never a good thing.

Hamas thought Turkey, Russia, China and other Arab countries would join them in the fight with Israel, but it was all sound and fury. The reality is Arab countries today are more open to economic co-operation with Israel, in particular the Gulf states (Abraham Accord). The have seen Israel’s progress and the benefit of trade and peaceful co-opertion with israel. Besides, Israel provides a good buffer between Iran and Syria in the north and Egypt in the south. Better Israel than Iran for a neighbour. The Sunni Arab countries see Iran more as a threat and a meddler in the region. Just look at what has happened in Gaza, Lebanon and Syria when the Iranians entered the picture. No peace at the Lebanese-Syrian border with Israel; Gaza is reduced to rubbles, and Assad has become an Iranian stooge. You are right. In the event of an expanded war in the region, the whole world suffers. So nations should dissuade Iran from further escalation as much as they want to see a ceasefire in Gaza.

BTW, if the US does not intervene (my take is they wouldn’t dare unless they want WW3), I doubt Israel would be able to survive an escalated war with Iran and its proxies. Hence the war in Gaza would stop.

This is to provoke the reaction from Iran and believing that the situation will escalate further to the extent that the US has no choice but to get involved.
Obviously, both Iran and the US know Netanyahu well and will not get into the traps set up. Iran will retaliate but will stay within the tolerable limits of the world community, the retaliations will also be significant enough to calm the nerves of the Iranian people.
