Author: The minister is out of touch. Life is hard. Unless we go back to earlier times when most people buy food from the wet market and cook their meals at home, it is a struggle to eat at hawkers centres. Even uncooked veggies and meat have gone up in price. A bunch of leafy veg that used to cost $1, they often cost $1.20 to $1.50 these days. Bananas that cost $1 is $1.50.
Most end up buying from shops like Swallow which often sell cheaper than others though not as fresh as others.
Eating out is expensive. No need to argue.

Honestly, my choice has never been Ong, I was always for KeeQiu but this joker has a habit of choking on his own saliva, so now it seems Ong would have been a better choice considering that Ong is more controllable and manageable.
There is a saying in China that “入赘女婿是最没底气, 最容易控制的”, that in reality may also apply to many peasant males who strike the lottery by getting to marry some tycoon daughter. One of my relatives in China, “老表”, is a “入赘女婿”, so I do know what it is like to be married to someone you have no business marrying. Anyway, imagine if Jack Ma wants you to marry his only daughter, you dare or not? Honestly, I would rather marry a prostitute. lol
Oops! Pardon the sidetracking, you may be right that Wong would probably go down the same route as Heng, who probably was also shoved down the Supremo’s throat. If Wong really has some gray matter, he should ascend the throne now (if he really has the backing of the 4Gs) and not wait till he has run out of runway, like Heng. lol
Even though I am apolitical, I do agree with many that Sinkieland do not need another famiLEE member, even if it is Yang. I have heard from many that Wong appears to be a decent and caring person, so maybe Sinkieland might get the needed reboot under him to get back on the right path. Sinkieland will never change under a famiLEE member, so the best hope is still on Wong, IF he is really his own man and can hold the fort (minus some of his useless sideshow novelties).
But then its all our own speculation, talk c**k sing song. Only time will tell.
P/S: This “老表” of mine is married to one of my wife’s (only) 2 cousin sisters, whose dad is the 县书记.
