I would condemn the indiscriminate killings of civilians by Hamas but I would also condemn Israelis occupation, illegal land grabs and constant harassment of Palestinians in their homeland.
PAP Gov condemned Russia invasion of Ukraine while ignoring the racial discrimination and persecution of Ukrainians of Russian descend, under the principle of protection of sovereign integrity.
However, PAP Gov has been muted with regards to the Israelis occupation and illegal land grabs in Palestinian land in Gaza.
Do the Palestinians have the rights to their own homeland?
We should stick to the 1967 Palestinian Resolution to demand Israel to keep to the borders determined back then and Palestine to gain full independence as a full Sovereign Nation. Up till now, Israel has refused to abide to the 1967 UN Resolution.
The decades of constant fights will not stop as long as there isn't a long term peace resolution.
The root cause of Israelis - Palestinian conflicts arises from the Colonial Rule of Great Britain. But we have to move on and set for long term peaceful resolution for this mess.

This is another stark example of how the cycle of violence perpetuates itself. Now, it is the Israelis turn to kill innocents trapped in the Gaza strip penal colony. When Israel was created, Jews were ‘kicked out’ of Arab Countries: Iran, Iraq, Morocco, Egypt, everywhere, etc. Many of the Arabs living in British Palestine that became Israel were told to flee by’ Arab Neighbors’ so they could attack Israel. Israel left Gaza ( funny how Egypt didn’t want it back in ’79). Now HAMAS runs Gaza ‘at gunpoint’ and want NO ISRAEL.

Is this staged by Israel to grab more land? No soldiers at a music festival, why? Both men and women are army trained so is it even possible for Hamas to be able to kill so many “civilians?” Perhaps the Israeli PM needs a distraction for his political survival. It is not that simplistic. Back then Israel offered the Palestinians much more large swathe of land and in return asked to live side by side peacefully w them. BUT THEY REFUSED EVEN THAT GENEROUS OFFER & INSTEAD CALLED FOR THE ELIMINATION OF ISRAEL. All those countries at that time ganged up to destroy Israel but instead Israel defeated them despite being a smaller nation. The rest is history.

Can anyone give a rational military or political purpose for this? Israel got a warning from Egypt of potential violence three days before Hamas attack. Typically insurgencies opt for kill missions in order to demonstrate a regime’s fragility and impotence in maintaining law and order.
Hamas has certainly accomplished TWO things here. In this case Hamas has unified its enemies. It has provided Israel with justification to wage a ‘total and uninhibited war’. AND everyone now will have to huddle behind Netanyahu in the name of national unity. What a gift to him and his hard right!
Maybe we’ll think twice about the kinds of leaders and policies we support. Fear will cause rational men and women to abandon their democratic aspirations and huddle behind the “de facto dictator”.

Balfour Declaration issued in 1917 by the British government is the disastrous stroke for the Palestinian people.
The reason why the European saw the need to create a Jewish state on Palestinian land was their determination against the Jewish people and they wanted the Jew out of their land. The massacres of of millions Jewish people by the European in Europe during second world wars is the highlight of this discrimination.
These are unforgivable sins committed by the European and they have not done any redemption.
To reciprocate the generosity of the British for the Jewish people in 1917, the UK should give up a piece of their land from their kingdom for the Palestinian people who are now suffering from immense hardship.

What Hamas did is beyond the pale of any excuse. But they are Nihilists (other than religious), who care nothing about their own lives or the lives of others, any longer. They have abandoned all Hope and entered the Gates of Hell. It’s not easy to read amidst the fury and despair caused by the attack by Hamas, and I doubt it will be heeded. But I pray that some measure of sanity, somehow, can breach the (rightful) blood-thirst in Israel right now. If we owe a moral responsibility to Israeli children, then we owe the same moral responsibility to Palestinian children. Their lives have equal weight.
The terrorist war crimes of Hamas (and Israel) are indeed unforgivable, but bear in mind that Gaza is not an independent country. Gaza is a brutally subjugated occupied territory/prison of Israel. Human Rights Watch has described Gaza as an “open air prison” because its 2.5 million inhabitants are trapped into a tiny region controlled by the overwhelming force of Israel’s military checkpoints. They cannot leave.
This action by Hamas was highly organized. I can’t help but believe that the consequence of their actions – an invasion of Gaza – was entirely anticipated by Hamas and that Israel’s current actions are fueling a strategy that’s being directed from outside Gaza. Netanyahu has been given the distraction he needs to hang on to power, and Hamas is willfully instigating a humanitarian calamity to turn world opinion against Israel and draw the Islamic world into the conflict.
I always teach that tolerance is the very hardest virtue of them all. Forget the pious nonsense about diversity and inclusion – even simple tolerance in the face of absolute evil is just brutally hard, and requires almost superhuman effort. Do any of us on the outside have a ‘right’ – to demand patience and forbearance from Israel? Not really. All we can do is -hope- that a hurting nation can somehow dig deep, try to remember its own humanity, and desist from carnage.

Because of the holocaust and the refusal of many countries to allow Jews into their countries after World War Two, the Jews were given Madagascar but they wanted to return to what was Arab lands and now Israel. In 1948,the British colonial master, carved up the land and displaced millions of Palestinians who had lived in the area for centuries. Since then Israel has been inviting all the Jews in the world to return to Israel. Arab countries have been mounting attacks on Israel and after every war the Israelis expand their land bank and build on occupied lands which is against International Law. At present the Palestinians have been reduced to living in a sardine tin by the Israelis. They have no port and cannot trade.They live in poverty and are persecuted by the mighty Israel. The holocaust that was experienced by the Jews is now being implemented by the Jews against the Palestinians.

If I remember correctly from reading the bible, the Jews are the direct descendants of God, Jesus, i.e. they are Christians.

Christianity succeeded Judaism, although (from what I have gleaned from my albeit limited bible reading) the distinction between Judaism and Christianity as we know it didn’t exist at the time the New Testament was written. Christ was seen–by himself and by early Christians–as *fulfilling* the promises of rather than as breaking with the Old Testament. So Jesus was a Jew, Paul was a Jew, etc. The New Testament essentially groups together Jewish followers of Christ and gentile followers of Christ.
Both Egyptians & Palestinians are practicing Sunni Muslims. So it is about politics not religion.

The Jews were exiled nearly 2000 years ago. Up till Mark Twain’s time, he remarked the land was mostly barren, save for some “Palestinians” & some Jews leftover. Biblical Scriptures also said again OVER 2700 years ago, In the latter days (which Christians very well know not merely believe) is Jesus second coming, the world’s nations will “turn against Judah & DIVIDE Jerusalem. THOSE WHO CARVE UP JERUSALEM WILL THEMSELVES BE CUT TO PIECES.” These are the WORDS OF THE PROPHETS. People can read it in the bible.
(Many Jews today are descendants of the tribe of Judah. They nearly named the new state Judah but decided to call it Israel). (Lineage: Abraham then Isaac then Jacob who later changed his name to Israel. Jacob had 12 sons one of whom was Judah. From these came the 12 tribes of Israel. The Bible stated when the Lord comes he will destroy Israel’s enemies that will come against it clearly stated in the bible namely Iran, Turkey and Rosh (which some learned Christians think its Russia).
Btw nearly two thirds of the Scriptures are prophesies. ALL HAVE COME TRUE TO THE EXACT DAY N TIME!. It is now left what is to come IN OUR TIME. The Lord has two descriptions of Him in Scriptures, the Lamb, the other being The Lion of Judah. The Lord Jesus came as Lamb for us (ALL THE PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD) two thousand years ago. He is coming back as the Lion of Judah to save Israel in his Second Coming. It is stated in bible, He will then abolish all world gov and rule from Jerusalem.

There are some Jews who are Christians but orthodox Jews do not recognise Jesus as the Son of God and are still waiting for their Messiah. The Jews crucified Christ because they were afraid of his teachings.It was because of his crucifixion that those of us who are not Jews have become Christians.
