  • I think the death figure has been updated to 2 according to some media, must be from the 7 critically injured. Since most staff are without seat belts, those injured must be them.

So sorry to hear about this.

Updated: 6 cabin crew remains to receive medical treatment.

    Nothing unusual!

    This happens on and off.

SIA deals with it with outstanding professionalism.

In view of the climate change, similar incidents, some more serious than this, could be expected in the future.

Is this the karma for SIA, the greedy Singapore company under Temasek Holdings?

For those people who do not know, they paid themselves 8 months bonus recently.
    https://www.businesstimes.com.sg/companies-markets/transport-logistics/sia-staff-rewarded-nearly-8-months-bonus-pay-airline-posts-record-s-2-7-billion-profit-fy2024

    and now this tragedy strike.

Temasek Holdings is a Singaporean state-owned investment company that owns a significant stake in Singapore Airlines (SIA). Temasek Holdings was established to manage Singapore’s state-owned assets, and its portfolio includes investments in a wide range of industries, including aviation. Through its ownership, Temasek plays a key role in the strategic direction and governance of Singapore Airlines.

The question isn’t there huge amount of money is used to bail out SIA?
“During the COVID-19 pandemic, Singapore Airlines (SIA) received substantial financial support to help it navigate the severe downturn in air travel. The Singapore government, through Temasek Holdings, orchestrated a significant bailout package for the airline.

In March 2020, SIA announced a rescue package amounting to SGD 19 billion (approximately USD 13.27 billion at that time).”

Just use ChatGPT to find out the bailout.

Question is how much of these so called “bonus” money actually come from bailout tax-payer money?

    You are an idiot.

Tell me whose fault with the analogy below.

You and your wife check weather forecast and its tell you the sky is clear and sunny.

So you took your motor bike and ride with your wife to Bollywood farm.

When entering Kranji area, it suddenly rains and both of you were drenched.

You have done your due diligent checking the weather forecast but both of you still get caught in the rain.

Whose fault ? Please tell the readers here.

And do not run away from my questions like Goh Meng Seng.

Agree with you. SIA has also other shareholders so it was unfair to give the COVID bailout as a grant and not a loan. Now the staff are paid 8 months bonus plus the COVID grants and the Public pays the increased GST. The other shareholders will also be getting increased dividends. PAP’s style of governance acceptable to 70% of the population while I, a citizen, am looking at the increased price of roasted chicken in NTUC which has increased from $4.90 to $7.45 and NTUC is supposedly a co-operative. So the way I read it, I am bearing the cost of all the PAP’s actions by the GST increase plus the increase in costs on the ground while the corporates and the govt. officials are smiling to the bank. I have to kick myself daily for having to live with the 70%.

Big Mouth Goh Meng Seng said: Trust must be based on deeds and actions.

So the million dollars question is: What has BMGMS done for Singaporeans apart from criticizing our great PAP?

    BMGMS also said this:

“I don’t like Amos because he’s rude in the Singapore context. But I have to defend his rights,” he was quoted as saying.

Yeah, very powerful air turbulence do happens, even if the aircraft is flying at stratosphere where the air current is the calmest.
