I refer to the comments made by Tharman Shanmugaratnam that a family with income as low as $1,000 can purchase a flat, and the subsequent clarification by Tan Chuan Jin that it is possible to pay off over 30 years for a $100,000 2-room flat with the CPF housing grant and Additional Housing Grant. It is misleading to quote... 

The recent debates in Parliament has shown two things to me.
