Responding to the Hougang MP's call to cut the GST from 7% to 5% to help people cope with inflation, Christopher de Souza (Holland-Bukit Timah GRC) demonstrated the quality of the incumbents in office: "High income earners, we know, consume more and therefore pay higher GST." Just as Goh Chok Tong missed out on the definition... 

Dear Temasek Review, Couple of days ago, I received some email documents from a Singaporean lady and I thought it would be a good idea to share this interesting information with TR readers here. These documents purportedly shows that our Ministry of Manpower (MOM) is not really doing a good job in checking the qualifications... 

So far only Reform Party has announced the plan to form the next government. NSP, SDP, SF are keeping silent while WP clearly does not want to form the next government and instead it wants PAP to do so. WP finds its role as the checks and balance in parliament, through which reforms then will come about. An assessment is timely...
