Isn’t 1/3 + 1 a more achievable goal?

I read with interest a post by someone here who remarked that whenever the vote count dropped for the PAP, the less strident and indifferent response by them. As opposed to when they got a resounding or increased majority. Just look at 2006 until, has things got better generally or worse, after the PAP held on to all their seats?...
