The roles of the president have been clearly stated and explained by so many political luminaries, including Jayakumar. Among the 5 discretionary custodial duties is the protection of reserves. For the last 4 days, I have enjoyed rice dumplings for breakfasts – fabulously and deliciously filled with meats and mushrooms and, of course, fried rice.  The mushrooms remind me of a recent political electioneering parody of fruit-bearing trees and “poisonous” mushrooms  which I thought was incomplete of great intellectual...
