Here is the brutal truth — close your eyes and read no further if you cannot handle the truth in its purest and barest form: The problem with Singapore is not PAP — rather, the problem with Singapore has something to do with the nature of Singaporeans themselves. More specifically, Singaporeans are too KS and overly-practical.... 

I am amused by the PUB director's reply ('Stemming floods: What PUB plans to do'; Sept3) to the report on the efforts by a Tessarina condominium resident, Dr Audrey Tan, to get it to do something about the flooding of Wilby Road, just outside the condo ('Flood campaigner's persistence pays off'; Aug29). If indeed PUB had plans... 

Yes, here is my take as a Singapore PR from a western country. If they made Singapore citizenship more attractive , i.e allow dual citizenship, I would take it up. If they force me to give up my existing citizenship, I would simply leave and go off to one of the many other countries of the world that welcome English speaking...
