TR EMERITUS

'EMBARRASED' in his [LINK] letter said, quote: “I know (hope) you have the interest of Singapore in heart.” He should be embarrassed being confused, not knowing whether he “hope” or “know” TRE is pro-Singapore. Of course TR Emeritus (TRE) and we, the majority of TRE readers, know we are pro-Singapore. We love Singapore.... 

Sure we have heartless people in the country where I come from. But that's not the issue here. You are putting the blame of old folks having to work, on FTs and FWs. I may not be home to take care of my old folks but I make sure they are well provided for. Someone in a previous post labeled Singaporeans as ingrates. I agree... 

A true Singaporean will never say such things that are derogatory to any of the four races. We respect as citizens to assure that offensive statements are not even expressed as we have lived together and have seen the plight of Singaporeans as we strive to built a Nation.
