With 100 million people going home to their villages, the journey alone is mind boggling - some people have to walk 700km to get home, and do it with little food and water. Yet, on reaching home, they still may not be safe from the virus. In fact, some of them may well be carrying the virus into their villages. India is a catastrophe.... 

The problem with Singapore's poor migrant worker treatment and cramping them into poor housing facilities means that in times of epidemics, our system isn't built to cope. When we don't care for our workers, we don't build a resilient system to cope. COVID-19 should be a teaching lesson for Singapore that a low-cost high-profit... 

I prefer the government to give a soft loan to businesses and individuals to cope with the economic downturn, rather than give a cash handout.
