Too many good and honest sgs have lost their jobs/livelihoods during the LHL era.
These are sgs who gave off their best years to BUILDING OUR NATION such that Sg became so attractive both foreign businesses as well as foreigns looking to work and live here.

The Sg Miracle these sgs helped built with much sacrifices and hard work has actually turned into a $g Debacle for many of them.
Many older ones are looking to downgrade in order to mitigate the escalated COL which is progressively still uptrending.
They hope to be self-sufficient but the HDB POLICY is not helping much.
The long compulsory eligibility waiting time is simply too long and such downgraders have to pay expensive rents while being forced to wait.

I am sure MND can relook at the HDB POLICY that is being most unfairly applied to such elderly sgs who are seeking to buy their HDB for the very first time.
