So the votes have been tallied and the results are out. On 8th May 2011, Singaporeans woke up to the reality of a stronger Workers' Party; having wrested the Aljunied GRC stronghold containing 3 Ministers no less from PAP and retained their traditional bulwark of Hougang, their presence in the Parliament has strengthened from... 

I'm really pissed at the election results. At the very least, Holland-Bukit Timah, Marine Parade, Tampines and Sembawang should have gone to opposition! Singaporeans have again chosen personal interests over national interests. It seems to me they are truly a selfish lot indeed. Yet they now expect Aljunied and Hougang to 'fight'... 

With a heavy heart, I write this article, but those days of opposition rallies have changed and transformed my life and many others, even as many Singaporeans feel that all is lost for Singapore in regards to having a healthy balance of opposition to scrutinize the PAP policies and block them before they impact us, we all have...
