Final Upgrading for TR Emeritus
Our techie will attempt to migrate the TR Emeritus (TRE) website onto a newly deployed server to resolve the EOL issue announced here.
As we did not receive adequate funding to engage the service of third-party experts, the attempt may or may not succeed as the move is beyond our techie's pay grade.
There are numerous obsolete software and add-ons that need replacing and newly acquired ones may not be fully compatible with TRE's existing setup.
Downtime and distortion of the website are expected effective 25th Oct @ 0100 hours. If everything goes as smoothly as hoped, the downtime will be a few hours as DNS propagates, or TRE will remain inaccessible until any issues are fixed.
This will be the final upgrade needed for TRE, phase 3 of 3 planned.
We thank you for your understanding and continued support.
Team@TRE
* Kindly note that during the upgrade, the old website will be grayed, any comments posted on it will not be brought over to the new website, so please do not post any comments if you are seeing a grayed website.

Glad to announce the final upgrade for TRE has been completed on 25th Oct @ 7 am.
There will be some minor fine-tuning to be done, but it should not affect the website as far as accessibility is concerned.
Please report any accessibility issues or anything out of the ordinary by following up in this thread.
Thank you.

Testing. Looks okay. Congratulations on the successful move. Happy to know my donation had something to do with it.
Tech: I am sure it did. Thousand thanks!

Congrats!
Loadings seem a bit slow. (17 seconds)
Tech: Yes, the original caching software is no longer available, so am testing out new ones. Need some fine tuning to get the maximum performance. Sorry about that.

One of our border CDN is based in Sinkieland, so if the ISP has a good network, you should see a significant increase in download time.
