PM Lee Hsien Loong I express my feelings and opinions as a citizen and I will be frank about it. First point. I have high respect and expectations for our Parliament and of our elected parliamentarians and in this case, for Raeesah Khan to lie and repeatedly lie in Parliament is a big No No. Apart from her resignation as a honourable MP, I feel that the S$35,000 fine that was imposed on her is on the low side. Next, lhl delivered a masterpiece speech in Parliament yesterday and everything that he said were perfectly political correct except that, to me, his speech was so hollow. Let me explain. If Pritam Singh and Mr Faisal Manap indeed lied under oath at the COP, then it is the correct thing for Parliament to refer them to the prosecutors for further actions and for them to prove their innocence in court. Yesterday, if it were Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Teo Chee Hean or even Heng Swee Keat has delivered lhl's speech, I would have supported every one of them but not lhl. Why? To me, lhl doesn't possess that moral authority despite him being the Prime Minister, to say what he said yesterday and hoping for thinking citizens to support him. I ask if he went to court to prove his innocence, clear his name and save his reputation when his siblings hurled ugly accusations at him publicly? I am disappointed with those pap MPs who voted yes yesterday. If I were a pap MP, I would have abstained from voting. Also, many people look up to their Prime Minister and take what their PM tells them seriously and any prime minister worth his/her salt must live up to that sacred trust and expectations from his people. Pap's electoral candidate for GE 2021, Ivan Lim, stepped down under intense pressure after serious accusations about him were circulating just before GE 2021 and lhl publicly promised Singaporeans that his government would investigate those accusations after the GE. Singaporeans trusted him on that and many Singaporeans still remember that promise. So, what happen? Now more than one and a half years have passed and what lhl promised Singaporeans about Ivan Lim's case has also died a silent death. This is only one example and it is such cases that will seep and diminish his standing among his people and the respect that Singaporeans have for him as a person holding the pinnacle position of public office. One is worthy of respect for what one is and not one's background or the office that one holds. It is a sad day for my country, Singapore, when our parliamentarian deliberately and repeatedly lied in Parliament and our prime minister fails to follow through what he promised his people publicly. In so many aspects, the outstanding standards that the pap old guard ministers had achieved and we have inherited have dropped so much under the current pap government but on the other hand, their political salaries that they know how to pay themselves have skyrocketed. During the past two years, many regular workers were retrenched and school leavers could not find jobs. This was due to the economic disruption caused by the covid pandemic. The government created jobs for "safe entry ambassadors" to enforce the safe entry recording at food centers, malls and other public places. At the initial stage, this recording appeared to be useful. Later, with the spread of the mild and wildly infectious omicron, the safe entry recording appears to be useless. However, the government continues with this practice. It is wasteful to get people to get people to do unproductive and useless activities. I suggest a few alternative jobs that are useful and can help to give employment to the unemployed people. 1. Nurse assistants. These assistants work for 4 or 6 hours to help the nurses in hospital to care for the patients. It will relieve the workload on the nurses. 2. Teacher assistants. These assistants work for 4 or 6 hours to help the teachers to take care of the students. It will relieve the workload on the teachers. 3. Welfare assistants. These assistants work for 4 or 6 hours to keep in contact with 100 residents living in a neighborhood. The assistants  keep in contact with the residents and help them with health protocols or to access to welfare services. The contact can be done by whatsapp. This will relieve the welfare agencies from having to make direct contact with the residents. The above jobs can keep a large number of people gainfully employed. It also allows the workers to learn useful skills in their jobs in the hospitals, schools or neighborhoods. After getting the exposure, some of them may opt to become a full time nurse, teacher or welfare agency officers. Recently visited Polyclinic, was told there is no more walk in, you need to book online. Walk in is considered emergency, surcharge $32.10. Look at online appointments, no slot for many months but emergency has immediate slot. Charges quoted for hospital surgery higher than private clinic in orchard. So Singaporeans no longer has affordable channels since even the govt is trying to rip us off? Went to SingTel, also same thing, everything there is admin fee and minimum charge. Worst is there is no more hotline to land an operator, you are told to talk to chatbot which gives you standard answers. One scheme is $20 for 3G with no voice and sms. And for their senior plan, it is $25, even more expensive than what you normally get outside. How come they are charging more expensive when they are offering less and less? When you contact Gomo, Gomo asks you contact Singtel, when you contact Singtel, Singtel ask you contact Gomo. Extremely irresponsible and lousy service but charging us more and more. I have to say Singapore under Pinky and his team of hyenas have degenerated to only maximum profit model, sacrificing quality and productivity. This leads to a tsunami of GLCs turning into such dreadful state where the only focus is to churn out new ideas to charge more and more.
