It is not surprising that Trump has increased China's...

This is not a game of cardsThis is not a game of cards I can appreciate parties wanting to hold their cards close to their chest, but the smoke and mirrors games on nominations day, the shuffling of the DPM from a seat he had openly been declared to be defending, and other ministers shuffling constituencies leaves one feeling the PAP thinks it is playing a game of cards. Constituency...

Cwc-Ai

Chorus of Change for Singaporeans: Fear No More, Release the Power within, Vote for Change (Part 2)

Chorus of Change for Singaporeans: Fear No More, Release the Power within, Vote for Change (Part 2)

By Voice of Citizen .......continued from Part 1 Compassion of Leaders It is senseless, meaningless to blame Citizens for being lazy without first looking squarely at the roots of the problem. It is senseless to whip a person to work, plunge “spur into hides” of citizens when he already has condition in his body aggravated by long hours of hard-driving and hard-striven. The citizens do not need the whip from one wearing golden glove. We need compassion of leaders who understand the heart and soul of the lesser fortunate. We need Spur of Compassion in leaders to understand the Hearts of the Collective Voice of the Citizens, not “spurs in their hides” to demand subjugation. Whip and milk the Nation too much, there will be citizen insurrection. The fault lies with Grand Master, who arrogance blinds him. The Power of Collective voice becomes stronger with each whip, not weaker. The PAP power can only be condign with compassion, knowing the “hearts” of every citizen, not from their podium of virtues in their Ivory Tower.   Power Within Us The Citizens fear the whip NO MORE. It will be our damnation if we let fear take away our political rights of expression and will. Fear is as infectious as the Power within each of us- if only we release that Power. Do not underestimate the collective consciousness of power which have been suppressed by fear. We need to release it. We need to direct it consciously for common good. Love and Hate are one same emotion as Power and Fear. Hate is as redeeming a powerful force or emotion if we know to manage it. So is for Fear. In short PAP should let go, stop Fear in people and allow that redeeming force to heal the Nation.   Nation We Want The Nation is NOT PAP. As wealthy as PAP is now and all its kind, they should contribute to the Nation without taxing the Nation excessively. Is there really NO nobility in Singapore to serve the Nation without obscene pay? Is this reality or fiction? Is only the best capable of high office? If this were true Nation would never exist in the first beginning. It is an absolute insult to humanity struggle. It is an insult to many good men and women who fought and died to build the world, the many nations today. PAP cachet is NOW vacuous. There were many good men in the past who had fought for cause hand in hands with the people, not for glamorous pay or high office, but for collective conviction of common good. Isn’t that PAP stood for?-or that PAP has got so much wealth that it corrupts its senses; now with power it corrupts absolutely their senses. In the name of democracy PAP won the hearts and souls of his citizens. But it was never the democracy that they promised. Through years of “democratic” delusion and brain-washing, through legal corruption of mind and materialism, through ultimate corruption of power, like body with overdoses, the system has mutated. Many want a sense of purpose, lesser cost of living and cheaper home. Is that so difficult for PAP to provide? Is money politics, even politization of HDB policy becomes the only means to an end? That should not be equated with Nation losing drive and is not striving. It should be seen as internalizing the strength of each citizen as they find a real purpose to strive and protect asset, not with excessive debt that they need to strive for lifetime to pay with enough left to live a decent old-age life. Or our Grand Master only believes in survival of the fittest with disregard to collective voice, at expense of own citizens, playing dice with live and debt of current and future in its grand scheme. Only when they kneel, serve him as the absolute power, will citizens be accorded with decency. If that cancer in PAP can be excised, the “Nation” can be once again become a Nation as enshrined in our National Pledge.   Marshal Our Collective Will We are to fuel of power to each other through collective consciousness. There must will the collective strength for its presence to be felt through the will of our collective consciousness or we face the arena of brutal struggle forever till its ruination consigned to history or in the words if PAP lackey, our Karma. We cannot forever FEAR PAP. WE are our ONLY HOPE. This may be the last chance in the Election. We need to bring out the collective strength and voice. We need to spread to words of change to everyone. We owe it to ourselves, to be brave, stand for our rights, for our better future. We must UNITE as one, opposition alike, to fight a common cause this coming Election.   Grand Finale: Parallel of Cesar In the parallel world of Cesar, the Grand Master stands on the grand podium of his Grand Coliseum built by its own people, a monumental edifice of grand achievement, wealth and power. The Coliseum represents the central confluence of spectators where trades are made and exchanged and where pits his own gladiators against the foreign contestants coming in waves. The Grand Coliseum stands in its exquisite opulence, it “Uniqueness”, in contrast with the abject state of peasants and plebeians who have to toil and till the Land and sacrifice lives for privilege to Land and Rights while the lords capitalize on the tilled lands and amass wealth. The Grand Master, once, fought hand in hand with his people, warned his gladiators with a stout and gritty expression that he would kill any gladiator who, even 200,000, disobey his command. The stark brutality and megalomania of Grand Master once worshipped by his people as Savior is unfathomable. His penurious gladiators, cowered in fear, tiredly honed new skills in shortest time to compete to win, to keep the grand coliseum an ever growing attraction, to attract ever-growing spectators and combatants from outside. The tired native combatants fight on as the only means for survival, to own some privilege from the Grand Master-native privilege of Land and Rights of serfdom fought bloody fists shared new fighters. As more sanguine the arena, more bitter and visceral the battle, higher the dice of gladiator pitches against the onslaught of new and hungrier fighters, the more winning privileges he will be accorded. The more sanguine the arena, the wider the smirk smile of gratification of the Grand Master. As the battles within the coliseum continue, those lost are consigned to the murky dungeons as slaves consigned into oblivion of the brutal arena. For those won, some are elevated to the gold-glided Chariots, some are granted place in the spectacle grandstand, joining the Lords of the Coliseum. Weakest are sieved, discarded, and best winners are glorified to elitist rank and file of the Grand Master. Against odds, spurred by Chariots of the Grand Master or be speared, the tired native gladiators, worn through years of hard-striving and hard-driving fights, to get to rank and file of spectator stand. They have fought hard with multiple combat tools and skills, hardly timed to hone to perfection, against those from outside with honed and specialized tools and hordes of other who are younger, swifter and hungrier. With smirk satisfaction of the overwhelming delight, hardly oblivious of the infliction or “genocide” of his disregarded class of people in his vision of making the Coliseum grander, a world stage of attraction for trade confluence, he reckons, and with desperation, more and more outside gladiators will help elevate his status, wealth and power. In each arena of gladiator battle, relentless replacement of gladiators ensues as Coliseum still stands and shines in its bloody glory to the elation of Rich, Wealthy and Elite. While the Master watches on, the tired rebellious gladiators hope for appearance of Maximo to lead the way out from their perdition. The Grand Master was once that Maximus who fought in the same arena with his fighters but now his thumb will decide the ultimate fate of each fighter. The Grand Master harbors insecurity that one day his gladiators will rebel. He needs to entice more outsider gladiators, provide them privileges and elevate them as his Chariots. Will there be a Maximus without the collective conviction of the gladiators who will fight in the grand coliseum? Can Maximus do anything without the will of the tired gladiators? For there be savior, for there to be Maximus, the gladiators must empower themselves with their will and conviction that they alone can stand-up against their Grand Master. For within them lies the lurking Maximus, the power in them.  WE ARE THE MAXIMUS of Change. Vote OUT PAP!  Read More →

Temasek Review renews offer to Singapore companies seeking to hire Singaporeans

Temasek Review renews offer to Singapore companies seeking to hire Singaporeans

As part of our continued endeavor to serve the interests of Singaporeans, we will be offering once again, advertising space on our site's scrolling sidebar to Singapore companies to put up their jobs ads recruiting Singapore citizens ONLY (PRs not included), free of charge for 7 days. We are currently charging prospective advertisers $30 a day to advertise their products/services on our right sidebar. Based on the latest traffic rankings, our daily traffic is comparable to that of major online job portals in Singapore and is about 60 per cent of the Straits Times' advertising portal st701.com. We have on average 12,000 - 15,000 unique readers and 40,000 - 50,000 page views per day and the readership is still growing. Our only condition is that the jobs on offer must go to Singapore citizens specifically and not to PRs and foreigners. All Singaporeans are entitled to the right to hold a full-time job which pays them sufficiently to afford a decent standard of living in Singapore. There are many advantages of employing Singaporeans over foreigners: 1. Many Singaporeans are bilingual. 2. They are more familiar with the local culture, especially if the job involves a lot of communication with customers. 3. They do not need an additional housing allowance or medical insurance cover. 4. They are easier to train due to the absence of any language barriers or culture differences. 5. They are generally less "hard-driving" than foreigners who will have no qualms resorting to radical measures to fight for their rights, e.g. the over 200 PRC workers who protested outside MOM over unpaid wages. To those companies which have been complaining that Singaporeans are not interested in the jobs they are offering, please consider the following: 1. What is the basic pay you are offering? With the cost of living going up, an average Singapore worker will need a minimum pay of between $1,300 - $1,500 monthly just to survive in Singapore. 2. What is the length of the working hours? Unlike foreigners who live in Singapore, Singaporeans need quality time to be with their families and friends. 3. What is the workload? Are they require to work OT beyond office hours without extra pay? Do they have sufficient days of annual leave for themselves and families? Please understand that while foreigners are cheap, they do bring along with them their own set of problems. Perhaps you can employ two foreigners for the price of one local, but if you train the Singapore workers well and pay them more to motivate them to work harder, there is no reason why they cannot compensate for the extra labor cost incurred by being more productive. Swiss workers are the most expensive workers in Europe which explains why Swiss products are more expensive than those manufactured elsewhere. The leading Swiss brands in the Business Week/Interbrand top 100 include Nescafe coffee and Rolex watches. Though Swiss brands usually cost more than similar products from other countries, consumers are willing to pay a premium for them. It is time for Singapore to move up the value chain to produce more highly sophisticated goods and technologies to reduce our over-reliance on foreign workers which has depressed our labor productivity as demonstrated by the graph below, courtesy of Kojakbt, moderator of 3in1kopitiam: If you are interested in our offer above, please contact us through our online web form directed to Advertising Matters.  Read More →

Instant reporting by Straits Times on Singapore being the 2nd “freest” economy in the world

Written by Our Correspondent Even before the news made the headlines around the world, the Straits Times is the first newspaper to publish it in big titles on its online "breaking news" section: "Spore is 2nd freest economy" The ranking is based on The Index of Economic Freedom, published by The Wall Street Journal and The Heritage Foundation, an conservative American think-tank. However when Wall Street Journal published an article last week on the negative impact of the relentless influx of foreigners on Singaporeans, the Straits Times is surprisingly silent on it. Neither did it carry any reports on the latest release of the Quality of Life Index by Ireland-based lifestyle magazine "International Living" which ranked Singapore as the 70th best place to live in the world below the likes of Bulgaria, Namibia and Romania. As expected, the article was entirely one-sided and devoid of any analysis of the findings. So what if Singapore is ranked the 2nd freest economy in the world? The figure should be interpreted in a wider context together with other indices such as the income gap and the quality of life index. Though Singapore's economy is relatively free, it has the highest income-gap between the rich and the poor among the thirty most developed nations in the world. This means that the fruits from the nation's economic development are not distributed equally among the people with the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer resulting in an overall lower standard of living than before. Unfortunately, the Singapore media, which is used to being a propaganda mouthpiece of the ruling party will not dare to tell Singaporeans the truth by such selective reporting and censorship.  Read More →
