Gays to silent pro-family groups Urgent Matter of Great Importance - Penal Code Amendments Dear Friends, I write to alert you to a matter of grave urgency and importance. It’s responding to the government’s amendment of the Penal Code, especially the section pertaining to homosexual behaviour. The official invite for public feedback was issued months ago. You’ll see this in the attached pdf file “Penal Code Amendment”. The relevant part is Section 10 which covers “carnal intercourse against the order of nature”. The Gay & Lesbian Lobby is working overtime to have the law changed so that our nation becomes increasingly amenable to its agenda which is as follows:   1.     Decriminalize homosexual practice. 2.     Criminalized any public negative comment or statement against homosexual practice. (Some pastors in the State of Victoria, Australia are now in jail because of this) 3.     Legalize same sex marriages. 4.     Legalize adoption by same sex partners. (Roman Catholic adoption agencies have closed down in Britain because they now have to allow their children to be adopted by same sex partners). 5.     Have homosexuals classified as an ethnic group or race so that their rights are enshrined. 6.     Make it compulsory by law that homosexual practices are taught to children in all schools. This is already happening in some parts of the world. They have already published colourful and explicit textbooks for this purpose!   While some denominational leaders have made Christian views known, our government’s approach on public morality is based on the weight of public opinion. Hence the greater the number of similar opinions the greater the weight government will give. I have been reliably informed that NOW IS THE TIME TO SUBMIT OUR FEEDBACK. I want to call for a mobilization of Christians and concerned people to give immediate personal feedback to the government.   Please share this with your church leaders and members as once the law is passed in favour of the gay agenda, there’ll be no turning back the gradual undermining and destruction of Biblical family values, as well as the freedom to preach godly sexuality standards, as in now happening in parts of Britain, Australia and the US.   The feedback site is www.reach.gov.sg. Scroll down to “Something To SAY?” and click on “Email Us today”.   The subject line should always mention: Penal Code Amendment:   All a person needs to do is write is something like: “With respect to the coming Parliamentary debate on the above subject, I would like to state that I’m against passing laws to allow same sex marriages or homosexual practices.”   A mother could send in something like: “I have three young children and I’m against any legislation that allow for same sex marriages.”   Other possible statements: I don’t hate homosexuals, but I don’t believe their lifestyle is good for the future of our country.   I believe that real family is made from Dad and Mum, not Dad & Dad, or Mum & Mum.   Please don’t allow our country to be influenced by people who are confused about their own gender. Please don’t legalize same sex marriages.   I also attached articles and news reports on the effect of law changes in some places. This shows what Christians would be up against if we don’t act now. Interesting Turn of events. I wonder if SG Enquirer is going up. Interestingly, SE is mentioned along side with The New Paper. 0.o. So is SE considered as a Ok source of news even though it's Alternative Media? I mean MSM could have edited it out. But then again, I am not really bothered. "When The New Paper asked the creator of the Facebook group, who gave his name as Mr Wils Cheng, why he created the group, he said in an e-mail reply: 'I did expect some negative reaction but I never thought that the group would be covered by sites like Stomp, Asiaone, The New Paper and Singapore Enquirer." Firstly, I declare that I did not join the Facebook Group as I feel that it has got things wrong. Sincerely from the Bottom of my Heart. Singapore DO NOT Sucks. Yes I said it, I LOVE SINGAPORE, although given a chance and money, I may still migrate but I do love Singapore. By Fang Zhi Yuan In her first official statement as AWARE President which was posted on its website (Source: AWARE), Ms Josie Lau made an impassioned plead to all Singaporeans to give her team an opportunity to serve the community. Her conciliatory tone was in stark contrast to her demeanour during the press conference called by the new exco last week where she was in a combative mood. "I am a woman seeking to serve other women in Singapore. Like you, I have struggles. I do not have all easy answers to the many hard questions that life throws up. No one does." she wrote. Josie promised to make a positive difference to the lives of AWARE members and society, one of which is to help the many distressed women affected by the current economic crisis. I would really love to give Josie a chance to prove herself had not for the ugly turn of events occuring during her short stint as President which leaves a bitter taste in the mouths of everybody. The sad truth is: Josie has lost the moral authority to lead AWARE. Even if she managed to cling onto her position as President in the coming EGM, it is nothing more than a hollow victory. Had Josie and her new exco won the elections on their own merit in their individual capacities without involving their Church, nobody would have bade an eyelid. The new AWARE under her leadership will be a pale shadow of its glorious past with the seeds of mistrust, suspicion and acrimony being sowed in the ranks of the fissured community. The sexual minorities will probably shun AWARE altogether while non-Christians will remain sceptical of its agenda. AWARE can no longer claim to represent the interests of all women in Singapore. I can understand that this must be a very difficult period for Josie and her family. She has been put under intense public scrutiny since the first day she became President. Her employer had come out publicly to denounce her for accepting the position. She was constantly ridiculed and harangued by many in blogosphere. Death threats were sent to her family and to add salt to her wounds, the public at large had little sympathies for her judging from the lukewarm reaction so far. It must be a traumatizing experience for her to be subjected to so many upheavals in one go. Why is she hanging on? Just for the chance to lead an organization which she joined only lately? Much as I sympathize with her plight, I feel that Josie should relinquish the position of President before the EGM in the interest of all parties. Josie's position is untenable at present. It will be humilitating for her to be voted out of office. If she somehow manage to survive the vote of no confidence, she will be leading AWARE without the trust and support of a significant proportion of women it purported to help. Either way, it is unfortunate that what should be a purely internal matter of AWARE is now turning out to be a free-for-all slug fest between the supporters of the old guards and new exco which the media will gleefully savour with delight.  Read More →
