Is this the kind of elitist, out of touch, uncaring, overpaid, arrogant ministers you one governing the country? In countries such as New Zealand and South Korea, the government is aware that high petrol prices could cause both negative economic effects as well as social effects. When prices increase, they cut down on taxes so that the inflation is mitigated. When petrol prices increase, the cost of transport also increases, and businesses may be forced to close down especially since the pandemic is hitting people so badly. As a consultant who works with small businesses, let me give you a real life example: a cafe saw their revenue dropped by about 30% due to the drop in traffic thereby just breaking even and making no profit. When the petrol prices increases by another 40%, this leaves the owner choice but to close down his business. When such things happen, people will also pay a heavy social price, as many workers are retrenched. Furthermore, many households will see their disposable income drop, leaving them with a drop in their quality of life. But our Singaporean Ministers are also overpaid that they are completely out of touch with the average person on the street. For them, paying an additional $50 is like peanuts. For the average PHV and Taxi driver, this means that he has to drive for one day just to cover the cost of his weekly petrol price increases when business is already very bad due to the large number of people working from home. But how ministers are saying that they do not need additional help at the moment and only give a vague promises to “monitor the situation”. Doesn’t it tell you how uncaring and how pathetic they are? In fact they are proceeding to increase the GST even in such terrible economic times! Guess who said this optimistic self congratulatory speech while doctors and nurses are openly lamenting they are overloaded and patients are waiting for rooms in overstretched hospitals and family members are anxiously waiting to visit but cannot due to the prolonged ban on visitors to hospitals and All nursing homes too. Some leaders need to live like regular folks to feel the pain and know the ground reality and not get instant appointments when they need a specialist or can stay in VIP suites in private hospital at any time during this pandemic. "We saw in other countries bleak images of people desperately seeking admission into hospitals, and healthcare workers being forced to choose who lived and who died. We were determined to prevent that happening here, and we have managed to do so. Our healthcare system came under strain, but it was not overwhelmed. Click to enlarge 死鸡撑饭盖，死顶！Dead chicken still trying hard to keep the cover open, die die don't admit their mistakes! That's exactly how I feel when I listen to PM Lee talking about the Covid-19 (CV) situation. Over the past months, there were reports about huge number of resignations of healthcare workers but yet, he said Singapore is not like other places with massive resignations of nurses and doctors from public hospitals. While we already know the public hospitals are jam packed almost everyday so much so that MOH and hospitals have to make public plead, asking people to avoid going to A&E unnecessarily, PM Lee still made a self praise that our healthcare is "strong"! This is despite of testimonies from various healthcare workers who have confirmed that they are over worked, over stress and just yesterday, a couple were complaining about the death of their unborn baby due to delay in treatment. NUH has literally put a slap on PM Lee's face when it admitted that they were not able to attend to the bleeding pregnant woman due to overloaded A&E, caused by high volume of patients from both CV and non CV PATIENTS! It really makes me wonder if the PM is really that out of touch from the ground? Or was he fed with misinformation? Many Singaporeans are "overjoyed" with the announcement of the relax of various measures but it is rather amusing to me. Nobody really questions the rational and consistency of reasoning, worse, nobody question the need of the continuation of VDS and discrimination against the "UnV"! Well many are mistaken that such discrimination only applies to people like me who are UnV. These discrimination also apply to those who refused to take the Bxxxter! About 25% to 29% of Singaporeans are affected! The fundamental premise PAP made or stick to is, the Vaccine is very effective, in spite of all the data and researches showing it is NOT. Efficacy is really minimal, if there's any, with a fast diminishing rate over time. It would be totally a False Sense of Confidence they are having, if this is the sole reason behind their opening up plan! They might feel confident because of the natural immunity acquired by the population as a whole. The reduction in infections is not due to high vaccination rate but rather high virus infection (VI) rate among the population. As we now know, Natural Immunity provides the strongest defense against this CV19, not vaccines. Maybe it's the same strategy which the various Western countries have adopted, ease all measures and restrictions so that more people would get VI and thus build up high rate of natural immunity. The idea is that this Omicron is very mild, but could provide good natural immunity. Thus, let everyone get it! But many people have found out, Omicron isn't that mild afterall and it could result in serious symptoms (Long CV) even after tested negative! This is especially so for those who didn't apply any early treatment protocol. Someone has observed that compare to the instance when they announced tightening of measures for fear of overwhelming our hospitals and healthcare system, the figures we have right now are even higher and worse! Yes, if we continue with current measures, infections and hospitalization may drop due to higher natural immunity rate but relaxing the measures may maintain current numbers or worse, increase them! It is really a strategy with a totally misplaced confidence. We should not have blind faith over some obvious failed vaccines. We need new strategy based on sound scientific basis. Continuous jabbing isn't sound, wise nor practical. It could buy us some time but PAP had squandered all of it. It should have spent the hard earn time to research into a comprehensive and all encompassing Early Treatment Protocol but it didn't. Luckily for Singaporeans, many have realized PAP's folly and started to scramble for legitimate Early Treatment Protocol. This may be one of the reasons hospitalization rate is relatively low up till now, else, the collapse of the whole healthcare system is pretty imminent. (I am going to update my Early Treatment Protocol very soon, catering to new variants). There are other things to worry about. We are having exceptionally high ambulance calls recently, which jam packed our hospitals' A&E. There are higher number of sudden deaths reported recently as well. Something is not right somewhere if these aren't related to CV infections. I have predicted this coming as I believe long term impact of vaccines will show up 1 year after the vaccination campaign started. US insurance companies reportedly are facing the problem of high excess death rates, thus higher insurance payout. If the cause is really what we suspected, it will happen everywhere, including SG. This is basically Science. This is something we should be very concerned about. Should we PAUSE the jabbing? Yes, I absolutely think so. The continuation of discrimination against UnV and unboostered doesn't make any sense at all. We pose no threat to others and we aren't getting infected significantly more easily than others. The seemingly higher hospitalization and serious illness are due to selection bias as most UnV are people who are old or with various pre existing conditions. We should be preparing for the best Early Treatment Protocol to help them instead of persecuting them and infringe on their basic human rights to live... No jab no job is an infringement of basic human rights. Among all these crazy things happening around us, I still hope everyone stay safe and healthy.
